Simple reversible lace

I invented this simple reversible lace. It looks like a wobbly lace rib:

Cast on a multiple of 6 stitches plus 2.

Row 1: Knit 1, *Ssk, yarn over, knit 1, purl 3, repeat from *, knit 1.
Row 2: Knit 1, *Knit 1, yarn over, knit 2 together, purl 3, repeat from *, knit 1.
Row 3: Repeat Row 2.

The hardest thing for me to do is remember what row I'm on. I keep repeating to myself "one one one one one... " or "two two two two two two... " or "three three three three three..." until I'm done with the row.
